If you like these posts, become a fan on Facebook.  This is a collection of articles I found interesting and posted there over the past few weeks.

- What color should you paint your home office?  Pick a color that fits the mood you want to set for working: HGTV and Apartment Therapy.

- The Top 10 Biz Ladies Mistakes (Design*Sponge). The Biz Ladies series onDesign*Sponge is great.  I found the Top 10 Mistakes to be the most universal of their posts — most of their tips are just as applicable for my law practice as for their retail business — but if you have a retail or craft business, I recommend checking our their other posts.

- Want practical tips on how to step up your website? Invite more interaction (Nolo’s Legal Marketing Blog) – written for lawyers, yes, but equally applicable to most businesses.

- 11 creative ways to avoid becoming a workaholic (Zen Habits).

- DIY: hand-printed mouse pads from manmadeDIY (Design*Sponge). Great idea for those of us who have been uninspired by what’s available at the store.

- Customize your bookcase (Young House Love).  I love the idea to fill in the holes you won’t use with caulk.  I’ve seen many people paint or wallpaper the back of bookcases, but taking off the back and painting the wall is great solution if you are buying budget bookcases which often don’t have very flat backs.

- Instead of snooze-you-loose: Schmooze-You-Looser (Chuck Newton) – a perfect explanation of why we don’t like schmoozers.

- Tips for working at home (ABA Journal). A dedicated home office space is also near the top of my list as we’re house shopping this summer.

And a few others that didn’t make it onto Facebook:

- 25 easy instant energy boosters (Real Simple)

- 15 warning signs that your business sucks (Quick Sprout).

- Use coffee grinds to cover furniture scratches (Apartment Therapy)

- Upcycle floppy disks into pen holders and desk accessories (Apartment Therapy)

- The risks of parenting while plugged in (NY Times)
